Julie Halston and Robert Petkoff will join the cast of Anything Goes in January, taking on the roles of Evangeline Harcourt and Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, respectively. Halston will hop aboard the S.S. American on January 17, while Petkoff sets sail on January 13.
Anything Goes opened on April 7 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The production won three Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical. The production, which tells the lighthearted story of the guests and crew aboard a luxury ocean liner, stars Sutton Foster and Joel Grey. Passenger Evangeline Harcourt (Halston) is the overbearing mother of Hope, an heiress who is engaged to British nobleman Lord Evelyn Oakley (Petkoff)—much to the dismay of stowaway Billy Crocker.
Halston has appeared on Broadway in Hairspray and Gypsy and off-Broadway in The Divine Sister, Love, Loss and What I Wore, Vampire Lesbians of Sodom and The Lady in Question. Petkoff’s Broadway credits include Ragtime, Spamalot, Fiddler on the Roof and Epic Proportions.
